The Bruins cannot continue to ice Geekie, Brazeau, Frederic and Wahlstrom as 4 of the starting 12 forwards. They all have below average to poor footspeed and it's noticeable.

Braz, Geekie, and even Frederic are useful players especially around the net where they can use their size and length but they're meat and potato guys and there is simply not enough team speed going either way on the ice when a third of your forwards are plodders.

You're posting this after the big money top line was on the ice for all the goals against tonight?

Geekie, Frederic and Brazeau were all plus players.

The front office blew this. Remember Them saying get tougher and faster? They are neither. They also are seriously lacking added veteran leadership. They fired Monty and went for the easy choice with Sacco instead of, again, going outside the box - aka organization for their next coach. They will give Sacco a three year contract. Just watch. He’s been better than Monty but man o man can he not do something about the PP??? Just awful all around.

Come on guys believe in wildcard 1 and a deep run its possible. Ask the rags fans if they would like our record right now.
I don’t care about their record. Just like I don’t care about their 2022-23 record. They aren’t a good team this year and it doesn’t help that they’re also lacking in effort 80% of the time. That 65-win season was the worst thing that happened to these core guys. There were probably 20 or so games where they took at least one period off but still managed to get two points, and the mentality that they can dog it and still win is embarrassing. Lack of skill aside, when the captain comes out and says they have been having bad practices, they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

No no, it isnt he “hasn’t been great”. He’s been flat out bad. There are other things lacking on this team for sure- offensive firepower being the biggest one- but the most glaringly obvious factor in this team being much worse than last years team is the guy ranked 4th in saves above expected last season got paid and is now ranked 75th. It is what it is.

Coming into tonight in his last 15 games, he allowed 2 or less goals in 53% of his games and 3 or less goals in 80% of his games. He's been giving this team a chance to win. I had 1 goal tonight that I thought Swayman should have had and that was the first one.

I want a little more than “giving them a chance”, I want “actively winning them games” at that price tag. You want your backup to give you a chance, not your highly paid “elite” starting goalie. At least that’s what the standard should be

I wanted a stop on that broken play after the defensive break down by Carlo. The behind the back on ice drop shot. I bet we see Korpi stand on his head tomorrow with full of life acrobatic desperation saves.

Brazeau and Geekie have been good for a month.

Frederic, his whopping 1 goal in his last 12 and 3 in 22, aside, has been pretty bad.
