Yep, you can definitely see what Graf has been doing so well in the AHL (apart from scoring). He is relentless in trying to create turnovers.
Vlasic > Grafgraf > smith
I meant to respond in the other thread but dude, idk why you got called out for making the Pavelski lite comparison. I’ve thought the same thing when watching and the comparison is totally supported by data too.Toffoli haters in shambles
I tried so hard not to post this:Nice to see our goalie is outplaying TB's goalie so far.
Between Pavs and Toffoli?I meant to respond in the other thread but dude, idk why you got called out for making the Pavelski lite comparison. I’ve thought the same thing when watching and the comparison is totally supported by data too.
Drew's always been kind of a fundamentals-matter-most guy, which I understand being that he used to be a coach, but I agree he focuses on it a bit muchMaybe it's just me being the anti-Drew, but I don't care about a couple of mild turnovers. Smith has been extremely creative and involved this period. Loved that line.

I don't think people realize just how productive Toffoli has been over the past 5 or so seasons. All while remaining a good defensive player. I wonder what his early-to-mid 20s could have looked like under a different coach than Sutter.I meant to respond in the other thread but dude, idk why you got called out for making the Pavelski lite comparison. If Macklin dumps it in on that play it's an easy retrieval and exit for Tampa. Might as well try the entry pass, at least there's a chance you get a good bounce and Graf gains the zone.Remenda's criticism seems misguided. Yes, if you can't make a play, dumping it in is the right call. But, if you can make a play, carrying the puck in is the better option. The youngsters need to be given space to figure out the balance, while at the same time learning how to make better plays.
My bigger question is why bring it up at all? The Sharks already have a video coach, Will isn't going to see that clip, and it didn't lead to anything, so why bother?Drew's always been kind of a fundamentals-matter-most guy, which I understand being that he used to be a coach, but I agree he focuses on it a bit much
That's why he's going back down as soon as Vanecek gets healthy.Say what you want but this team with Askarov as goalie isn't going to pick Schaefer, Martone or Hagens. He elevates this team to a different, more competitive team.
Much improvement in his personality over his "I signed a contract and I'm going to follow it!" interview.Giddy Pickles> Salty Pickles. Even schmoozing Drew
watch vlasic-walman become a stud pairing
I do think not drilling in the importance of fundamentals leads to bad habits down the road.My bigger question is why bring it up at all? The Sharks already have a video coach, Will isn't going to see that clip, and it didn't lead to anything, so why bother?
I liked Bakes' takes (tm) better because it was more about breaking down a sequence and why it led to a big game event, this just seems more like a reminder that Drew used to be a coach.
I think it’s where he did it and when he did it that he has a problem with and unfortunately he’s not wrong, turnover at center ice during a line change is not idealMaybe it's just me being the anti-Drew, but I don't care about a couple of mild turnovers. Smith has been extremely creative and involved this period. Loved that line.
