Okay, that's the penalty. A player can't hold two sticks at the same time. They can only hold their own.

You can have 30 sticks, you just can't play the puck.

I played hockey with a kid who decided to tomahawk his stick from center ice into the penalty box as a reaction to... taking a stupid penalty. He skated towards the stick to pick it back up on the way to the box and was shocked to find out the refs were tossing him from the game instead ahahah
