I just don't understand our coaching decisions. There's no reason to be starting Hellebuyck tonight. He's actually on pace to play more games this year than last year which is just outrageous to me considering his implosion against the Avalanche and his already comical workload in 23 24

It’s also an opportunity for load management, where we can enter the playoffs more rested and healthy. And playing your youth more helps accomplish this.
We don’t need to win the president’s trophy. We need to be in the best position to do well in playoffs and that includes developing your depth. The depth will certainly be tested in any long run in the playoffs.
There was a fair bit of load management. Still didnt result in the best usage of Heinola, but, the bottom ld and Rd have been rotating. Means Heinola didn't get 3 in a row though.

Helly probably wants to play and we don't play until Tuesday after this. If Helly was having to stop 50 shots a game i would be worried about rest but that's not happening this season so far.

Okay I get it that there's a long stretch until Tuesday but we're already on pace to play in more than last season and last season was too much. It's just really goofy shit to me.

An exciting San Jose New Jersey game ends and we immediately go to the Sportsnet Pregame Show talking about betting parlays on Chris Tanev's shot blocking skills.

We truly live in a dystopian hellscape.

This was always going to be Helly’s game. Michigan kid against the Wings for win # 300. And if you care about your fans that is what they want going out in an ass freezing early January night.

Yeah that aligns wth my feeling too though I'm seeing more to Stanley game recently. Maybe he truly is a late boomer?

These are extremely different situations. If Ville came into the same scenario as Jomo and got all those reps and stayed healthy who knows?

But, he didn't, and where the Jets are there's no meaningful opportunity to learn on the job.

I cancelled the cable TV. I get to watch about three Jet games this year on Prime and CBC.

3 goals for San Jose means free Tacos
On Tuesday.
