Looks like the same lineup tonight again with Helle in net, side note Fleury back on the ice skating in a yellow jersey
If we get fully healthy on the backend Chevy will have some interesting choices to make on who gets waived. The Jets haven't had a healthy slate of d-men all year. I think Heinola sticks around for depth. Moose could look a lot better with Salomonsson and Coghlan on the back end.
I expect Helly to be lights out tonight.FWIW, Helle usually has a huge game after a subpar one (during the regular season lol)
For some, losing one game is confirmation of everything they've thought about the team, while wins are either the other team being bad or puck luck.
I think the choices are clear. Unless they bring someone in from outside. If we get fully healthy on the backend Chevy will have some interesting choices to make on who gets waived.
I get the strong vibe sometimes that there's a ton of guys in here way older than me.Pocket fisherman and super slider snow skates!
So when are we gonna get that story you said about meeting your wife? You keep asking everyone else to share.Hey, you're back on the board! How was the trip?
I’m not sure everyone would agree on the choices. I know who I would risk to waivers and in what order.I think the choices are clear. Unless they bring someone in from outside.
Will be funny if we waive chis 2.0 and the second after we lose one of our 2 guys who can run a pp.
If it were purely based on competency I'd waive Heinola first but he likey has the most value of any of our bottom 5. They have to try and move him.I’m not sure everyone would agree on the choices. I know who I would risk to waivers and in what order.
Imsure not everyone would agree, but, they have made it pretty clear they prefer Stan and fleury over Heinola.I’m not sure everyone would agree on the choices. I know who I would risk to waivers and in what order.
I think it's set already. When the Jets waived Coghlan, they gave themselves that 30 day window to use him, and send him back down.If we get fully healthy on the backend Chevy will have some interesting choices to make on who gets waived.
It is because there is!I get the strong vibe sometimes that there's a ton of guys in here way older than me.

Personally I have Fleury at 6 and Stan at 7. If Heinola still holds value I would try to move him as well.Imsure not everyone would agree, but, they have made it pretty clear they prefer Stan and fleury over Heinola.
Asking bout ppl’s personal preferences just becomes bash Stan.
But, play him where when healthy line up? He must know he is not a bottom 6 player. Does he think he deserves it over names?I think it's set already. When the Jets waived Coghlan, they gave themselves that 30 day window to use him, and send him back down.
Jets can easily carry 23 roster players now 8 d-men. Only question to me is will Gustafsson stay in the starting lineup. I'm more concerned that Jets might have Chibrikov ask to be traded, if they don't give him an opportunity. Toninato is fine to sit in the PB, he knows everyone on the team, from the years he's been here. But Chibrikov could actually improve the team if he gets a shot.
If it was last month I’d agree. I think they are committed to Stan project. He is more physical, has better offensive instincts so he does have his strengths and based on prediction not personal preference I see Stan as number 6. Fleury 7. Only time will tell.Personally I have Fleury at 6 and Stan at 7. If Heinola still holds value I would try to move him as well.
Yeah that aligns wth my feeling too though I'm seeing more to Stanley game recently. Maybe he truly is a late boomer?Personally I have Fleury at 6 and Stan at 7. If Heinola still holds value I would try to move him as well.
These are extremely different situations. If Ville came into the same scenario as Jomo and got all those reps and stayed healthy who knows?People are very quick to give up on Ville. He went nearly 2 years without playing meaningful games after and sustained a major injury and complications. Sure, 8-10 games should tell us with we have with him even if he’s been playing his off side for the most part and can’t play more than 2 games in a row without being forced to sit.
I think these are likely the same people that in 2019 were screaming from the mountain tops that that Morrisey was never gonna be a first pairing defenceman and he had just been propped up by Buff. I believe he was called too small as well.
Yep, you gotta feel for the guy, but, no matter the talent the window of opportunity is the window of opportunity. Could the team done, more, yep. But, at this point I don’t see it.People are very quick to give up on Ville. He went nearly 2 years without playing meaningful games and sustained a major injury and complications. If you never get the opportunity you didn't even know what the player is. Arniel hinted that he could be used in the bottom six. But an injury to a defensive catalyst, limited PK minute forward has him playing it safe. Gustafsson is safe. Kupari appears to be safe, given the RH depth at forward. But in reality you probably have a better player stewing. The interview with Morrissey I heard when he was up was an endorsement for him. These are the spots where talent meets roles, and if there is no flexibility you can lose a good player that quickly. On the home stand it could't hurt to play Chibrikov top 6 and Fetts in the middle, and have Namestnikov in a bottom six impact. But I'm not the coach, and I am not smarter than Scott Arniel about hockey players, just an obversation. But, play him where when healthy line up? He must know he is not a bottom 6 player. I honestly believe Heinola is still here because if there is an injury to the top 2 d-man, he's probably the most capable player on the roster to run the PP. I wouldn't trade a player who could contribute like that, as long as he understands his role, and continues to learn and grow as a player. This is such a veteran team, that young players meet high expectations. For defenseman, you don't give up an asset too soon when you don't have that many assets. Could turn into a Kovacevic, or a Forsling.Personally I have Fleury at 6 and Stan at 7. If Heinola still holds value I would try to move him as well.
But Heinola is number 8. Kov got opportunities as mtl wasn’t competing. Then used his skills he had showing nhl and a bit of luck and opportunity and parlayed it into a great opportunity in mj.If you never get the opportunity you didn't even know what the player is. There is opportunity. He’s just not been given any opportunity. If we’re not in a position now the give our youth some reps, then we never will be.Yeah that aligns wth my feeling too though I'm seeing more to Stanley game recently. Maybe he truly is a late boomer?

But, he didn't, and where the Jets are there's no meaningful opportunity to learn on the job.
Hasn't been an injury yet to an offensive defenseman. Knock on wood, those 2 seem to train well and manage their contact and angles well enough to not get hurt. But Heinola is number 8.
