Hey, you're back on the board! How was the trip?
Fabulous. I had the miracle of an empty seat beside me! A middle-aged priest took the aisle seat. He flashed me a big smile, then pulled out a new murder mystery and ignored me for the next five hours. You can't ask for a better flight than that!

I arrived 9ish and my friends were there to meet me as promised, albeit a bit tipsy. They'd shopped all afternoon, had burgers in a bar at Pearson and then continued drinking until my flight was announced. I was concerned about the drive but 400 was mostly clear and she kept her speed down and I was safely in my apartment by 11. It's a white swirling hell out there now which is a great time to do the laundry.

Good, but I was asking about the fortnight in Vancouver, actually.

Well it's the insufferable SNET, but at least Garrett is one of the least annoying color guys. I find him to be pretty unbiased. Galley or Millen are the f***ing worst. Especially when Millen says BEEEELIEEEEVE ME.

f*** off. We know you were a mid goalie like a hundred years ago.

Shit when you said this...

Wings come in winning 3 in a row. Coaching change seems to have had an impact. The East is so tight at the bottom that only 7 points separate the 8th seed/WC2 and the last place Sabres. Red Wings find themselves 4 points behind Ottawa going into tonight, so they could be hungry.

Jets are in a comfortable spot, top in the league in points, 3rd in scoring, 1st in GAA, #1 PP.

Should be a good one for the fans in attendance.

Maybe that's it, the boys had too many perogies prior to the Ducks game?

Ah, the glory days of K-Tel. Same era as Ronco and Ron Popeil. Who can get forget the pocket fisherman? I owned one. It was a piece of crap. And for what it's worth we were more Woolco than K-Mart, more Bay than Eaton's (my mom worked in accounting at the Bay for a while).

Let's have a little bit of a bounce back game shall we? Bring out the Coelocanth's and the speed and send the dead wings home in a bag. GJG>
Pocket fisherman and super slider snow skates!

So much for facing one of those "we should have no trouble beating them" teams.

I think Cog has more to show than his limited play has allowed.
Yep, I think at this point he is ahead of Heinola in their limited samples as he did more the game we won than Heinola in the losing effort. Everyone looks better in a win.

I think it's Heinola, according to Illegal Curve.

Better make the most of it, as both Samberg and Fleury have started skating again.
Hopefully he can showcase something that allows him an opportunity somewhere.

The Jets haven't had a healthy slate of d-men all year. I think Heinola sticks around for depth. Moose could look a lot better with Salomonsson and Coghlan on the back end.

He was called up first so it does make sense. I just don't think he gets rotated into games when they have a healthy slate. I am imagining if they do rotate it will be Fleury and Stan with Berg comfortable on 2nd pairing until TDL at earliest.

Would be interesting to see how Stan does in playoffs as they no longer call as many penalties so he can play more physical. Can he keep up? He couldn't keep up with the Avs last playoffs, but, it helps to pair him with an actual RD.

Probably has to play his offside, give Miller the odd rest. Maybe Coghlan is better in that spot, but he already cleared waivers.

Jets are getting healthy on defense, but you see some teams around the Conference losing key guys, and I think Chevy and Arniel are comfortable with the depth they have. At least until the TDL.
