Tucson somehow lost 8 to 6 to the Gulls despite having 52 shots. Hayton didn't even play.
Was at the game, the two goalies for the Roadrunners are just plain garbage, weak goal after weak goal. With that being said, it was a fun game all around. Jenik got into another fight, but his one he won in a landslide...and then he got his nose rearranged with 5min remaining in the game resulting in a 5min major for the Roadrunners and they scored 1 goal to get back within 2 goals.
Yep, Hayton didn't play and neither did the new kid Emberson. Soderstrom is very calm and smooth, not sure I see "elite" offensive game, but he plays a steady game and can move the puck and seems to make the right play. Tucson just doesn't have much with Hayton, Burke, Bunting, Pederson, Dineen, Ness all not playing because they are either up with the big club, on the taxi squad or injured.
Not sure they're going to win many games that those goalies...so trash!
Love Jenik's game, but Potvin has got him stuck centering some bottom pair guys who aren't very good for ECHL standards, but he does stir stuff up and is a pest. Gulls hardly played Zegras in the 3rd period just to keep him safe.
Carcone had 4 goals and Capobianco had a monster slapper for one of the goals, it's too bad he's atrocious on the D side of the puck and he's a "pinch master", likes to pinch on almost every play with leads to 2 on 1's the other way and when your goalies couldn't stop a beachball, well, it's not going to work out so well.
