I don't think it was the one year which was like 3 years ago. I think it was the playoffs last year. The media and fans bought the narrative that the Rangers were a horrible team that was carried by the greatest goalie in the history of time. And it didn't matter that every big goal scored on him was a softy at a terrible time.
It did. Thats a bad goal.
He also gave the puck away on the sequence that led to the first goal against. I get not wanting Lindgren to handle the puck there, but you can't follow it up by doing exactly what Lindgren would have done.

It's a nothing play that's up the boards. Usually when you're an NHL team, you can handle plays that go up the boards. Laf continues to skate towards 18 even when he's got nowhere to go and loses 22 behind him, and no one picks up Hughes in front of the net for the tip. Four Rangers caught on one side of the ice.
