Blais was down behind the net so my assumption was that rather than wanting to hold the puck and get held up along the boards he wanted to go back so we could a controlled zone entry rush.
He either didn't see Hughes or just really f***ed up the pass

Tavares entered the league as a below average skater, and vastly improved in the upcoming seasons as it was a shortcoming to his game.
