Caufield watch:

He needs 27 in 42 for 50. Doable.

Let's hope he gets one tonight. If he manages it, he'll be pacing for a 48 goal season. If he gets two tonight, he's pacing for... 50!

Monahan is as good as gone. There's been a lot of smoke around Edmundson and Anderson a la Lekhonen last year. I can definitely see at least one being moved.
I think Anderson and his bloated contract is able to be moved but it will be a challenge.
Edmundson is someone Hughes will covet keeping because he is a winner, a solid vet, is relatively inexpensive and the young D need his mentorship. I doubt he goes.

There was a rumor a while ago that Hughes turned down a 1st round pick for Anderson. All the reasons you mention for why Edmundson would be valuable, are the same ones that up his value to a contender. Hughes wasn't looking to move Lekhonen either. Someone will pony up and Ed will go.

From the Habs website game preview:

Tonight's matchup will mark the Canadiens' fourth Reverse Retro game of the season. Fans will get to watch their team skate in powder blue threads and mingle with METAL!, the team's unofficial official mascot of these themed games, and are encouraged to stay in their seats for a first intermission performance.

Why is METAL! a thing? We need our own Gritty?

Also retro jerseys that we never win in! WHOOO

And the fact Edmundson and Anderson are under contract next year, the Habs can afford to be more patient. They won't be moved for the sake of being moved.

Similar to Toffoli last year. They didn't have to move him unless the asking price was met. And once a 1st round pick was involved without any salary retention, the move was made.

They also easily beat the Leafs 5-1

The lottery could change that.
Last time we played the Kraken I asked "how does this team win games" The reply was That they play in the west. I thought they plain sucked. I've seen enough of it around here to know. :sarcasm:

Allen has injuries to deal with every season but at least this time, the news are encouraging as it’s day-to-day.
Yeah last year was bad timing on his part. 95% of us had him out the door for picks/prospects. This year I'm not as optimistic he can bring much of anything.
