It helps that he has been taking off rookie sitting duty.

Exactly. Now that he's paired with RR his offense is starting to come around. Shouldn't be a surprise. Muzzin has dropped off too. Without Drew to take all the attention, it's a little different ballgame for him. We need Greene back soon. I'd feel a lot more confident in that third pairing with him back there.

Courtesy of the game writeup in the Hockey News tonght:

Richards scored against Anaheim in his ninth straight game.

Good batting average if the Kings and Ducks meet in the playoffs

I heard that Greene may be back skating with the team for contact practice and right close to ready by next Thursday barring any setbacks

Id be so much calmer if we got Martinez and Greene up, replacing ellerby and muzzin.

Man was Ellerby just horrible tonight. He was the one responsible for that Ryan no-goal. Greener can't come back soon enough if Keaton's gonna keep struggling like this.

Apart from that everybody else had a pretty good game with some others having some superstar efforts. Quick especially was tremendous. That glove save was unreal.

Before I end here though, this team's been struggling all season trying to clear the zone. It drives me nuts and makes me real nervous if this will come back to kill us in the playoffs.

I love how duck fans try to make excuses for them losing or not winning in regulation against the Kings. Maybe this time they'll say they got bad calls or because Fowler wasn't playing. Such ********.

Well you know, trolls gonna troll. Although I must say the fact that TORONTO gave us a break blew my mind.

I hope we never see lolerby paired with Muzzer again.

No idea why DS paired them up to start really.

That pairing...

I wasn't able to watch the game fully. How was it? Should I rewatch it? How was Quick?

Worth a watch, the second period was as good as you'll find. Quick had one huge mistake, his biggest of the year. Then he was a rock to close it out.

Was a fun game to watch imo. Quickie played like last year. Don't mind his blue line charge in the 2nd, he just wanted to give the ducks a glimmer of hope that they'd actually beat him tonight when he stayed in his crease :handclap:

I agree, you guys think he might have been okay had he gone out to take away the angle instead of playing the puck?:badidea:

I was thinking the same thing. In hindsight, he could have sprawled out sliding to his left which would have at least slowed getlaf down just enough for the back checker to at least hook him enough not to get a shot off or something.

Quick loves to keep us on our toes. I will give it a watch tomorrow. Thanks guys.

It's also really nice to see guys like Doughty and Richards stepping up.

I don't know, I don't really have that much of a problem with it. Yeah he hesitated, but it was a break away and he took a chance. I'll take that over some of the bad angle goals he's given up where he just freezes and looks over his shoulder like he doesn't know what happened.

If you watch the replay and listen to Jim fox's take on it, Quick made the right call to go for it, the problem was the puck rolling off on an angle and he took the wrong line to start so ended up getting to it slower than Getzlaf, credit baldie on a good play there, also review pic on Front page, Voynov yet again flat footed getting beat by Baldie doesn't help either.

Like they always say in those situations, it's either ALL or NOTHING, and you're either the HERO or the ZERO (goat) ... and unfortunately Quick was off on the angle and skated too slow (semi-tentative) and ended up looking like a fool on it. Was only ONE PLAY thank god, and other than that, QUICK was a wall ... can't fault him on the disallowed goal either, he made the initial stop off to his left, and the D let Ryan I think it was ? get past him for that kick in, just lucky Toronto finally saw one of those our way (Correctly and didn't screw us :) ) for once.
