96/97 being the last time the Bruins have finished dead last in the league and was also the first year post-Neely. Eerily similar roster in the sense they had a few legit players and an absolute pile of trash surrounding it.

I was really young at the time (like 3?) and i can still recall my dead really f***ing hating Jean-Yves Roy. Not sure if it was because he was french or just not good. Given the burning hatred he had for the Habs and most of Quebec by proxy, i'm assuming the former.

IMO this version of the Leafs is a bit more scary. Took em a bit but it looks like they're fully bought in to Berube's system/style now.

Might finally not fold like a 3 dollar suit in a rainstorm come the playoffs.

Good McLaughlin is out though I have him scoring in some round game 7 overtime with the goal going of his butt accidentally. I keep dreaming about that.

Toronto is ninth in the league for goals for and has one of the better goalie tandems going rn.

Adding Tanev has been huge for that squad. So no, we're not better.
