I have been here defending that Montreal has actually been one of the better teams at late. Still, that is not a good effort by the Avs. We have different expectations here.

Florida was just shutdown 4-0 by this Montreal team less than a week ago. At home, in Sunrise.

He won't sit a game, but I'm sure he'll get talked to about it from Bednar. It's not the play to make at that time of the game, especially from a guy like him.

Yeah but they’re still a much better team than Montreal. They were actually shutout 2 games in a row but it’s still the defending champs so Avs better show up

This is exactly the type of game where a bad power play, insane lack of scoring depth, and injuries to the best net-front guys on the team just adds up to a loss.

Habs just collapsed on their own net and Dobes—who was really good—took care of the rest. Avs stayed way too much on the perimeter and for some weird reason didn’t push the Habs to skate enough. THEY looked like the more tired team tonight.

And lastly, a game like tonight is where it’s very clear that Parker Kelly as the 3C is not remotely acceptable. He is hands down the most inept offensive player on the team and it’s not even close. Dude misses the net EVERY FU**ING TIME he’s right in front of it, and a turnover by him on a 2-on-1 resulted in a goal against. I actually like the guy and can’t fault him for playing way above his head but enough is enough. Put Parssinen there, I don’t f***ing care.

On a lighter note, the fourth line was reasonably good. At least they made the smart plays and didn’t try and be cute.
