Horrendous effort. This team thinks they have made it because they squeezed out a win against the lowly Sabres. f*** that shit. They have work to do.
It feels like the team couldn't wait to lose.

Would have happened against the Sabres if it wasn't for some last second luck and the Wedgewood injury boost.

We dominated the first period and took the foot off the pedal against a tired team.
Sure. That's different than "a shitty team". Because lately Montreal has not been that.

I f***ing this would be a trap game, because Montreal has just won against other top teams in the league.

Am going to go listen to 50s Foster Hewitt broadcast, to remember that hockey is 60 minutes of action, energy, excitment. Anyone could think this is acceptable, not just this game, but this is the identity of this team. Bednar showed some life last game. But ffs. Horrific lack of leadership... again.

I never called them a shitty team.

I called them a tired team and we played to that level.

Was I wrong or something?

They go on a little winning run and get full of themselves. That's two bad games in a row. And before that good goaltending in a lot of games and gaudy scorelines pumped up by ENGs.

They have to put on work boots and prepare for playoff hockey.
