7:30pm MT is GOAT start time for me. Kids have just been put to sleep, get to watch the game in peace and sleep right after.

5PM for weekday games is unreasonable. Then again, I feel like 7pm is a bit too late. We have a sweetspot in Finland with 630PM. Soccer games start at 7PM, but they are over before 9PM so...

On weekends though, people don't have to (in general) rush from work to the games. So why not have the games earlier, more family friendly, also better if you want to have a night with friends, or still do something with your spouse and whatever?

I've never understood why weekend games in NA are still mostly 7pm local time. I'm not advocating for a matinee game, but 5PM is perfect.

Avs always seems to play to the level of their competition. Won't be shocked if they lay an egg and lose something like 3-1. Plus, they have been very average on home ice this year.

If they play to the level of competition, that's a good sign. Montreal is one of the hottest teams in the league right now, and not just against shitty teams either. Their last 5 games, they won against Florida, Tampa, Vegas. Also lost to Chicago and Columbus so that shows the inconsistency of a young team, but they've really upped their game since Laine came back (even though he hasn't contributed outside of PP).

Avs always take them lightly. Bad team from the other conference...they just don't bother. Just like the Buffalo game pre Benson goal drama.

Tonight is one of those scheduled losses for them, they played in Chicago like 20 hrs earlier and traveled all night while we were waiting at home. They'll be tired and will be starting a rookie goalie that played a total of one game in the NHL.

The Avs better win.

That's pretty cool.
