Even good goalies have bad games. :thumbu:
Trouble is Stu Skinner has way more bad games, way more soft goals, way more trouble handling the puck, too many issues with the 1st shot of the game going in, too many issues with consistency and the inability to come up with a big save when his team needs it. Good starting goalies keep their issues to a minimum. This us ongoing for Stu and that's why he is a backup in a starters role.

So all I can seem to gather is that when stu has a good game he is amazing, yet when stu shits the the bed it's the drfemce avs every one else but skinnerx fault as he has another .700 save percentage going
Got it.....
No it’s the defence cause it’s so obviously the defence. But it’s also Stu being bad. It can be both things, although we might have forgot what this looks like cause the Oilers rarely get torched this bad to start a game.

The whole team was bad to start the season. Keep pretending the last month and a half never happened bud.
They were still one of the top defensive teams in the league. They couldn't score and couldn't get a stop. There was a reason pickard had better stats than him early.

He was inconsistent that last 2 years as week.

You know you're just as wrong as the people saying he's the worst goalie in the league, right?
Above league average for both years and will be again for a 3rd. And yes, inconsistency, comes with that territory.

No I’m not. Cause nothing can support the narrative that he’s the worst goalie in the League. Not even the weak argument of inconsistency, as if he’s the only inconsistent starter in the League.

The degree to which we’re getting out worked low in our own end can’t be described as anything other than f***ing pathetic and embarrassing.

If we simply keep it out of our end entirely we might have a chance. Abysmal defensively by the whole group, and it’s all effort related.
Full team 'effort' tonight. Weren't ready for a Penguins team shot out of a cannon. Poor decisions aplenty while grossly outworked gets you buried. High pressure forecheck has badly exploited the Oilers tonight.
