GAME 40 - No Miracle On 34th Street - NYR 2 BRUINS 1

I'll be fair and not name names, but a couple of folks here have been calling for it for awhile. Can't see it myself. There was a time when having Kreider join the Bs would probably have been good and made for a nice story, but that ship has sailed. It's too late.

They have to move a few guys if they can get anything for guys like Trent
Is anybody on this board surprised were up against the cap with this load of crap? Our goaltending and Kastelic are the only bright spot for me. I can see the Leafs scoring a touchdown on Saturday, even with Mathews sitting in the press box. We will get our usual one goal!

posed these numbers after game 39

6 games with 1 goal
5 games with 0 goals
10 games with 2 goals
so 21 in total with 2 or less

18 games 3 or more

After today

7 games with 1 goal
22 with 2 or less

55% 2 or less
18% 1 goal

Wonder how that ranks with the NHL

Not sure how it ranks ,but pretty hard to win consistently unless you have a great defence, and great goaltending Bruins don’t or haven’t had either.

Need a trade a la 1997 when they dealt Oates/Ranford/Tocchet for high picks and blue chip prospects.

Deal Pastrnak for a blue chip center prospect, top end winger prospect and 1st rounder from a bottom 10 team and sign me up.

The best our you're going to get is something like #88 for Kasper, DeBrincat, and Petry
or McTavish & Terry.

I think the guy that cracks me up the most is Zadorov. I remember seeing him score a goal in the playoffs with Vancouver and thinking man, that guy can really unload it. He's got a cannon. I guess Sweeney saw that play too. What we didn't realize was that was the 1 out of a 100 shots he takes that actually goes on net.
Big man, big power, needs glasses. His shots can basically go anywhere and usually 6-10 feet past the net.

This. It grinds my gears how the team laughs and doesn't care when things are going bad. I bet they'll all be served hot meals and play a game of cards on the flight home. If I was GM I'd tell them to find there own way home. Walk back to Boston or pay for your own flight
Yeah but the phony puts up a whole pouty interview after the game pretending to give 2 shits. XXXX him and the horse (agent) he rode in on.

Hard to watch this team anymore. They can only score 1 goal a game, have to hope that all other teams competing for a wc spot lose nightly, have nothing really to trade for an impact player and the CAP is shot. Right now the Bolts have like 5 games in hand and the Sens 3 which does not really put them in a real good spot.

Zadorov is a guy you want in playoffs playing physical 3rd pairing minutes not top pairing skill minutes. He wanders out of position alot. That 1st goal tonite was rediculous. He has to switch off there .
