Do you think Othmann will be better than Zegras? I don't think so. We talk about a lack of scoring 5v5 and he had over 40 EV points last season. He would be a huge addition to our top 6. He and Laf could be staples on our team for the next decade. Players can learn to be better defensively. Can't really learn how to be a dynamic offensive player.

Have you watched Othmann play? He can definitely be dynamic at times. He's also physical and feisty, which is something we lack. That's why that trade could be a massive clunker to me

I think he could be. Zegras is still young but he's not a standout player at all right now. It's amazing what scoring a couple of ESPN Top 10 goals does for a reputation.

You don't just stumble onto 60+ points in back to back seasons as a 20 and 21 year old on a terrible team. I think you're being a little unfair to him. He is a dynamic offensive player. Terrible defensively. But that can be learned.
