Those games were simply typical losses that happen. Tonight however is the first game after a long road trip which historically doesn't go well for the Habs. If they win tonight it will show me a level of leadership and maturity that is needed moving forward.

A poor first game home off a road trip is not a specific habs issue. It's a general issue league wide that has been going on since I started watching decades ago.

I think losing the Chicago game, taught them something.......I am looking for a W !!

Dobes should play............but it will be Monty. It's just an MSL thing to do.....
I got called out for using a similar expression as you just did, by a wall of text producer whose posts are unreadable. He went on to accuse me of having something against MSL, when I have never once posted anything on this forum remotely suggesting that MSL was incompetent or should be replaced.

You just can’t win in here sometimes but love the fact that you can say the same thing I did and not get a crusty sniper throwing shade at you, for it.

All head coaches, good or bad, have idiosyncrasies that us fans notice and share. That doesn’t mean we have an agenda against said coaches.

If the Habs win tonight I will believe they have turned the corner.
I dunno, just seems to me that they’ve already showed a lot by beating the past 4 recent Cup winners in a brutal road trip punctuated by multiple time zone changes, too many games squeezed into too few days and not letting any of that get the best of them.

Laine’s debut, replacing Barron and Primeau by better options, a career year by Evans and the reliability of his line, Josh Anderson finding his niche as a defensive player who is fully engaged and physical, Dach playing like his pre-injury form — all of these combined have signalled a turning of the proverbial corner, in my mind.

No one has an agenda against our coaches............we just want to win. I think MSL is developing a little slower than the team, but he is getting better with most decisions......i have some worries about him but those are just my worries, that I don't usually share here. He is becoming a good coach, and what I like most about him, is he is DRIVEN and this is going to make it's way through his lineups.

This board can be an interesting place at times...........and to think we are mostly the sane ones.........over on the main board, is a cesspool of hatred towards our beloved habs!!

I want to see what effort they give for the first home game after a long road trip

I'm seeing some favorable mentions about Blake Bolden, and I have got to ask what you people are smoking. Had a buddy and his family from Arizona visiting my family in Alberta, and he's a big hockey fan, so we watched a lot of hockey while he was here. We had to look up who was on the broadcast for one game because she was so terrible, and it ended up being Blake Bolden. She's terrible, and I don't want her near any game I'm interested in watching. She's probably the worst color commentator I've ever heard. Small sample size, but after hearing her work, it's pretty clear she's nothing but a diversity hire.

I'll concede that she might be fine as an analyst manning the desk between periods, but I stand by my earlier statement. Worst color commentator I've ever witnessed.

Would love that too but we all have our litmus tests I suppose, which makes the world go round.

To me, this past road trip was the most Lord-of-the-Rings assortment of challenges that I have ever seen for any set of away games by the Habs. They were just too good for their performances not to be meaningful.

Nobobys denying any of this bud..

You're just moving a bit too fast is all

The kind of talk you're trying to generate will be of much more value next year
Why I've already gone on record stating Dobes is the better goaltender.
What exactly is your or anyone else's problem with that?
If you don't like the talk I generate feel free to move on it's not meant to be offensive.
I like Monty but I like Dobes better that is the gist of it.
Do people think my small inoffensive opinion will create a controversy. :dunno:

They already looked still hangover in Chicago after the New Year party, tonight they are likely to be crawling on the ice, looks like a zoo or like their skates weight 100 lbs.
Or we are getting a surprise! Which might be bad or good.
