Yep. Ellerby is hot and cold.. in which you see with most young defenseman. Martinez has had a tough year too. I think that position is up in the air but Martinez takes it over because of seniority or at least he should for the time being. Ellerby has the right tools.. he just needs a full season with the club before the Kings let him go.
 
Not sure how Fiddler was holding his eye/face, looked like Richards' stick tapped him in the stomach as they passed each other.
 
I don't like that A Mart is sitting. The guy is dead solid. He was/is having an off season but he certainly isn't going to get better from the press box. Word is he is ready to play and it isn't due to injury. Meh, who knows. Must be a reason.
 
Hopefully by next season muzzin will be better on his reads because at times it's pretty bad.
 
Muzzin has been fine, sure he makes mistakes, but so did Doughty when he was a rookie :P The kid is a rookie...

Ellerby needs some work, but I still see a serviceable 5-6. Pretty happy with our defense at the moment, given the circumstances.

I think DS genuinely prefers Ellerby. Hard to imagine any other reason.

And that guy just took out Doughty on a pick play, no call?
 
No complaints about Lehtonen leaving, hopefully we test Bachman early. Need to get shots off.
