Argh. NHL Network just reminded me that if the Kings win tonight, they clinch a playoff spot for the Ducks :/

But that same win would move us into single digits to clinch ourselves.

Starts play the Predators, Sharks, and Hawks next, so chances are good that they will get that loss sooner rather than later regardless of the outcome of tonight's game.

Ducks are basically locks to get in, and Kings should play to win tonight despite that fact.

I'm really not worried about shootout ineptness. We're going to make the playoffs so it's not going to bite us in the ass. And it's a shooter all alone on a goalie with no backcheckers. They should score a lot. Yeah Quick and Bernier both should have made 1 or 2 saves in the last two shootouts we've been in but it's really not a big deal. Seeing the way we played in OT in the playoffs last year gives me a hell of a lot of hope for this year. The boys came up big when it really mattered.

Fraser has been awful this year and honestly don't know why the Kings signed him to a 2 year deal. He has not been the agitator/scrapper he was last year. He had 7 scraps last year and 2 goals. This year he has 2 goals and 3 scraps but kind of invisible.

He has nearly outdone his last season numbers already. He hits, is defensively responsible, doesn't do anything dumb. That's what a 4th liner should be doing.

Exactly. I have been fine with Fraser. He does his job and when he scores it's a major plus for him and the team.
