Team was playing well till Skinner gave up back to back stinkers and the game was never the same. He made a good save in the third to keep it close, McDavid tied it and then he goes for a vacation.

Pretty simple formula, they need a game 5 LA series type performance. Completely control play, dominate possession, high energy, give them nothing. That or score at least 5. The team is capable of it, hopefully they rise to the occasion. There is no excuse for them not to come out with the energy they had in game 5 of the LA series, just take control and don’t let up.

No, we aren't putting minor league goalies in for game 4 of the Pacific final. Skinner has at least been here before. Even if you believed one of the minor league goalies would be better, do you really believe any NHL coach would not go with Skinner? We might as well accept it

Some coaches might. Tough to do at this point but if you can’t trust Skinner you might as well try something different.

At the very least I hope Knoblauch doesn’t keep Skinner in net all game if he’s choking. Easier to throw Delia or Rodrigue in partway through a game at home. If they play well then maybe you start them the next game.

Lets see what happens in game 4. Stone injured and will be whether he plays or not, same with Dorofeyev. Eichel has only 1 goal all playoffs and only 10 in his entire career (think about how ordinary. Barbashev looks like he might never score again in his life. Hertl is just plain awful again, normally he wouldn't be playing this time of year and seems like he's not used to it.

Vegas got all their goals by Reilly Smith, Karlsson, and Roy. Party like its 5yrs ago...

None of Vegas Stars are going.

Not sure what Skinners mindset will be though.

This game 4 is critical. Lose and it looks like back to trouble. Win and Vegas are in jeopardy.

Couple other notes but Kane is slowing down, Seems like he's struggling a bit now after being out so long, and it tends to hit you after 4-5 games back. He seems to be a big part of our mojo.

Last couple games Vegas, particularly their bottom forwards are figuring out how to gain ozone time and find empty spaces to cycle. Its odd that Smith, Karlsson, Pearson, have been among their best puck possession players.

Good news is Eichel was throwing pucks away all day in game 3 and even on the PP and was just terrible. Its weird how the supposed best Vegas players are struggling. Vegas top playes reallly guilty of overpassing whereas Oilers have had a shoot mentality in series, if not in last game.

I’d say it bad news that the guy who is listed as day to day has already been announced as out the day before the game. If he really was day to day they’d be waiting to see how he felt in the warm up before making the final decision.

Wow, so many people saying season is over and to fire this person and that person and the other. Yeah Skinner has sucked but I think I'll let the game play out first before giving up on the team. I know, crazy.

We went thru the same thing here after the first two games of the LA series. And umpteen times last year during our run. You can be disappointed and pissed off, but I'd never give up on this group. Goes against every grain of about what being a fan means to me.
