It’s almost like going into the playoffs with a starter that’s been basically unplayable all season was a bad idea.

Now our backup who saved his bacon (again) is hurt and we have no options but the unplayable guy. It’s ridiculous.

No upgrade on the #3 as well. Most of us knew that Skinner wasn't it and that Pickard was a back-up really. Pickard did an admirable job but now unless Delia or Rodrigue comes in and plays at least as well as Pickard did, we are f***ed. I have 0 faith in Stu and I'm sure the team has even less faith in him at this point.

100% we should have got a more reliable #3. With such rocky goaltending it’s a joke to not have some sort of contingency plan.

It’s kind of sad. The team looked so happy to finally get some half reliable goaltending. They were over the moon with Pickard. Now it’s back to dud goaltending. A guy incapable of pointing the finger at himself despite being the worst performing goalie in the playoffs. Even Pickard admits he can be better and he’s 6-0. Imagine how annoying that would be.

Just look at the players faces. They know he’s ass just as much as we do.

Yeah, idk. All the GAs were bad goals. Maybe you don't fully blame him on the 4th goal, and the 2nd and 3rd goal are good chances but save-able pucks. He then robbed Hertl of a sure goal in the third. Just by eye test back of napkin counting you get the exact same result as the stats.


And then the first goal against is a nothing play that he puts on a platter for them. Which.

All he had to do was not be worse than Hill, which was mighty do able, and he couldn't deliver.

There's other things besides goaltending in a game. The defense isn't where it needs to be, and I mean the 5 man unit. If the team can bring its A game, they can win even if we lose the goalie matchup
