Did Quick have to be inside the crease for it to be a legit interference call? He did look outside to me.

The crease doesn't really matter any more. They have to give the goalie freedom to move to make the play. The crease is more of a guide than a zone

The big new "rule" is that linesmen and refs can discuss calls on the ice and effectively come to a communal decision on plays like the one in Edmonton that resulted in the goal being waived off.
