Given the young talent all around the league - our own MARKEDLY not included - it’s a really interesting question whenever I ask myself WHY I watch this team. I mean, I know the answer. It’s my team, I’ve been watching for almost 35 years now, and that’s that, but… f***, this is just THE least exciting team in the league. It has to be bottom 5. Other teams know they’re maybe not a playoff team or doing a rebuild, but they’re young and fast and hungry or whatever. This is just country club horse shit all around.

2019-20 was a far more exciting team with far more heart. I don’t know how much hockey around the league the rest of this board watches but we literally look like we’re playing in a different era than the rest of the league. We have probably my least favorite roster composition in the league. So unlikable, so boring, so heartless.

Hopefully this is “learning a new system” because otherwise this is turning into “three coaches… maybe it’s the players”. This team is mentally soft, slow and … not enjoyable to watch. Like… what’s exciting about this team? Ooh, is it all the youth? Yeah, wait til they get going, then we’ll show them.

As I said to @mas0764 , it takes a good 20 games or so to learn and adjust to a new system. If we end up 2-2-0 after tonight wont be the end of the world.

Yep, truly sad to say, but it’s this. We are dinosaurs. We are slow. We are plodding. We are not dynamic in almost any facet. We are boring. We are behind every one else. We might have enough overall talent to be a 6-12 in the league type team, but we will never be a contender with this roster. Never. It isn’t a player or two away. It isn’t some small tweaks. It’s a hopeless mix that simply won’t get it done. The end.
