Difference between these teams is, the Panthers are experts at playing greasy but being smart/sneaky about it. When the Bruins try to play greasy, they get dumb and take unnecessary penalties: Pasta's hit was a bit late, McAvoy's cross-checking penalty was unnecessary. Now they're down on the scoresheet and the danger is that the frustration builds and we take more penalties, leading to more FLA pp goals, etc etc.
Bennett is a master in taking players out without a penalty or suspension.

I’m ok with pastas late hit. If you can hit him in the numbers, why not.
Mcavoys call was so soft
Zadorov took another bad penalty. Hopefully he catches someone open ice now

True.....but they used to be good with Bergeron and Krejci. Charlie never was.
Tory Krug was light years better on pp than CM73
and sucked everywhere else, Charlie is serviceable if we had better power play players with him. Watching Pasta stand around and be lazy is not inspiring to the rest of the forward group.

Marchand needs to get off the power play or at least put on the second unit as well.

It's coaching. Monty is a good coach and hockey mind but his guys are never on the same page when a team pushes back even a little bit.

So what's up with this defensive group? Can anyone play defense?

Lohrei sets up the first goal. Carlo's playing above the circle on the PK for the 2nd goal while McAvoy is in the box for trying to get away with about 4 crosschecks. Then McAvoy sets up chances for Florida when he's on the PP. Zadorov can't hit the rink with his backhand. Lindholm on for both goals against. Not his fault, but he was of no help either. Was Peeke the best Dman that period?

Very discouraging period, we score 1st, then Swayman gifts them a goal and now we trail. Considering they are missing their 2 best players, that's just not good enough. Would be nice if someone besides our 4th line would show up, lastly don't even get me going on these refs, it seems going back to last year's playoffs they have a hard on for Florida whenever we play them.
