I keep thinking teams will eventually figure out how to exploit the match up against Veleno but bro hasn't gotten into too much trouble.

He's "holding his own". He did a good job of digging the puck out and getting it to DBoss/Ray a few times today. There's an issue with the transition and zone entry though.... Didn't look like Larkin or Ray expects Joey to rush into the zone, several times where he had to hold up hard at the blue line. Joey's expecting a pass or dump and chase, they other two are looking to drop pass or go across the ice.

Seider might have played his best game in a Wings uniform tonight, he was a beast.
Yeah that's a game where people on the main boards call him overrated, just roll the tape.

He was out for two mins or so to kill that 6 on 5 and made 3 or 4 really noticeable plays

He's obviously not used to trying to create offense any more. Hopefully a little of what he did have will come back. In the meanwhile he hasn't been a complete black hole at least. Not much surprised that he isn't a defensive liability.

Why did Johansson get replaced on the 2nd pair by Holl in the 3rd period?

I thought he was great; didn't make a single mistake the entire game. Holl was of course right in front of the net on their 2nd goal in the 3rd too.

And you barely even notice Kasper in the game? How horrible does Copp have to play to lose that spot?

I suspect it will have to filter in over some period of time. Doesn't strike me as ever quickly re-assessing his conclusions.
He'll learn. I think one day he will be able to run a solid defensive-lay-back team. He just didn't have the pieces to do that here.
