They just f***ing refuse to play meat and potatoes hockey, even when it doesn't involve hitting. This is the same team as Quinn had last year with much better luck.

Strome needs to be benched. Blind sideways pass 12 feet out from the net while wide open. Holy f***.

Guy is a dummy. Always has been. Does he collect points offensively? Sure. But he is an absolute dummy who I dont think we can win with as a 2C ever. He either needs to be a RW or bumped down. Panarin will survive without Strome

Strome is just unimaginably bad. It's beyond obvious he's not a 2nd line center. His skills are incomplete, his IQ is below par, his attributes are middling. We have all this excess on defense, plus Kratsov who is in Siberia. Package Lundkvist and Kratsov for a 2C with term. We can't tie ourselves down with Strome for 6 years.

It saddens me to say but Julien Gauthier is not an NHL player and I don’t believe he will ever become one. If he has any trade value get what we can ( though I doubt it; I mean we got him for Joey Keane) and if we can’t, waive him and if he clears, send him to Hartford.

That's the thing. Every young player is so incomplete right now. Chytil, Barron, Gauthier, Kakko, Lafreniere, Miller/Lundkvist/Jones/Schneider that this lineup looks okay but it's hardly like they'll be as good as their nameplates look.

Not really. Quinn had the young players making the safest play possible 100% of the time or you ride the bench
