And then Tkachuk (who scored ONE goal in that series) said "that was the best play he made all game," and the world collectively pretended that was a good burn.

Right, yes, I remember that. It was all pretty funny. Funnier than spicey pork or chicken parm.

I’ll give Mika credit, he’s certainly been much better for the past few games. More involved, moving his feet. It’s not what you want out of a #1 but at this point we just need him not to be a disaster.

And hopefully his current trajectory continues.

The sad part is the "Mika sucks" army have completely painted themselves into a corner not realizing him playing better is a good thing for the team.

If “colorful personalities” means people making asses of themselves for social media appeal then I’m glad we’re without those in NHL culture.

I think it means having a personality.
Most hockey players are the most milquetoast of personalities. And I get it, because all they do is walk and talk hockey and it's all they did in their formative years, but it makes for very boring interviews which is why they shouldn't be done.

I agree Mika has been playing better but he is too passive for me to view as a #1 center. On this team he and Vince are about the same level. I would say they were both middle 6 centers. We need that dominating #1 center for sure. Team has been making more of an effort.
