I remember at the GM meetings in October/November, Hughes was asked about the Habs' good start. And he said he wasn't sold on it. That to me showed that HuGo don't get caught up in the hype and continue to keep a level head. They have a plan and will stick to it, even if the team was having a good start.
I love Gallagher and will always be a fan for everything he's done as a Hab. But some LTIR and getting his $6.5M as relief would not be met with resistance from me.
