Why do the Avs always play like tough guys vs. us?

Rough game so far for Muffins.

He always in particular struggles with the Avs. got hurt vs. them in the preseason too

Avs looked absolutely atrocious on Saturday night against the Flames. Calgary completely outclassed them (...), but they've got a bit more jump tonight. Kings got stronger though as the period went on.

Avs looked absolutely atrocious on Saturday night against the Flames. Calgary completely outclassed them (...), but they've got a bit more jump tonight. Kings got stronger though as the period went on.

Teams getting up for us as usual.

Calgary has seemingly righted the ship but it also looks like they're sneaking up on everyone again.

Coyotes, Flames, Blue Jackets, Oilers, Senators, Sharks, Canucks, Flyers, Devils (which I'll NEVER understand), Rangers, Stars, etc.

The thing is, it's usually on the teams we play rather than us--they either shell up or trap frequently to counter our possession. Our games vs the Sharks and Hawks are better because they try to turn it into a higher paced game, but most of the other teams just hold on for dear life while we grind them into paste.

Also we DO take the game to the boards a lot and other teams often can't keep up with that.
