Oooooooh Here We Go. It's Winter Classic time. Robert Thomas and The Blues are up against Connor Bedard and The Chicago Blackhawks. Blues are 2-0 in outdoor games. A couple years ago we were in the Frozen Tundra of Minnesota, and a couple years before that we were in the Lovely Busch Stadium. And now we get to play in Wrigley Field in Chicago Illinois.

Blues are being led this season by Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou while Chicago is being Led by Bedard and Teravainen. Blues need to turn it around, especially their terrible Special Teams and depth scoring. Oh and Cam Fowler gets to play his 1000th NHL at the Annual Winter Classic so it should be a wonderful night for him as well.

Bedard has been better as of late, scoring 13 points in his last 11 games. This should be a win, but everyone knows we always play down to opponents. At least we're playing a team that also has issues with secondary scoring. But from what I remember, outdoor games are always sloppy. I'll probably miss the first 2 periods due to work also, which sucks.

Can't wait to see the TV ratings for this gem. No network TV, a terrible start time which will have sunlight/shadows to deal with, two awful teams and a rivalry that has already had this game only a few years ago.

I hope we win but I expect it to be the worst game in WC history.

Could be worse and trying to compete against CFP game. That's why I think they put it at 4pm.

Personally I just wish they had put it on New Year's.

It is absolutely pouring here and isn’t supposed to stop till late afternoon around game time. If they pull this off the Wrigley crew deserves incredible props.

They need to star scheduling these games in mid to late January or early February to better ensure the likelihood of outdoor hockey weather. Wasn't it like 45 degrees and raining when we hosted?

Yeah I’m in Chicago for the game and the weather has been absolute dog shit this morning haha. Fingers crossed it clears up a bit or at least turns into snow later!
