There is some atrocious PP coaching going on that's the only take I can think of. They are lost on the PP, completely devoid of any idea how to work it.

They have nothing the blue line. No amount of special teams coaching is gonna change that.

It may have affected his slap shot, but he needs to try more wrist shots
..and keep them low for a deflection with a body in front of the net

To be fair most of the forwards have with a few exceptions of course. It's tough to watch this, imagine the frustration of the team and coaches seeing chance after chance go wasted.
