I want to thank all those who stayed up and posted on the GDT. Fun group!
I did my best to stay up after the game, but after a night working at the shipyard and three glasses of whisky (consumed in my excitement over such a good game) I completely crashed.

I’ll have to pace myself next time and not get carried away.

I have no excuse because I am retired....well, I still wake up at 3:30 am.

One more really late game.

I like Freddy a lot but your confusing draft years. Kaliyev was on the table the year we picked Johnny Beecher. Freddy was taken before Alex DeBrincat with many of us on this board pounding on the table to the Cat.
Absolutely stand corrected on that, that's what happens to a tired old brain that's operating on these.

The Bruins have won FOUR more games in regulation than either the Stars or Devils -- who have each played more games. The team with the second least regulation losses in the NHL (Hurricanes) has eight. That's double the amount that the Bruins have.

The Bruins are still on pace to finish the regular season with 138* points and a +129 Goal Differential.

*134 points if you factor in Home/Away points percentages.

**I probably shouldn't be trying to make any mathematical sense at 2am, but you get the point.... The Bruins are in the midst of a potentially historic season.

only team to win the cup out of those teams was the hawks against us in the asterisk year.

"[Frederic] is not going to be a top-two-line guy, we know that," Bruins director of amateur scouting Keith Gretzky told reporters at the draft, according to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald. "But he has some jam. He plays hard with the penalty minutes. We were fortunate to get him.Jun 27, 2016

Give Keith some credit, he was spot on. Some were upset with the pick as a player such as Arthur Kaliyev was still on the board. What Keith didn't add at the time was they were getting a valuable bottom six player who had good hands skill as well as fisticuffs wise, will battle along the boards, down low and in front of the net, kill penalties and grind you into the ground. Every team needs those guys and it will take awhile but we believe we may have found one.
Freddy now has 9 goals, none on the PP, but 4 GWG's tied for the team lead with Jake. Kaliyev has 9 goals, 7 on the PP, no GWG's. And not the jam to play 3rd line. We did OK, perfect piece to the puzzle.
Always felt like he was a young gun who tried to do a bit to much at the start and got scolded for it. Felt like before Frederik would make a play and look at the bench for a reaction. Hes got his confidence

You guys are poetry in motion, that was a fun as hell game. Wish our third pairing wouldn't have pissed it away because up until that point both teams were checking VERY well while still working hard and creating offense, it's not often you get both. Kings tend to play either no-defense pond hockey or boring tight-checking but this looked like fighters just swinging at each other to finish the match. When the Kings couldn't break thru Swayman I knew it was only a matter of time until we broke. Enjoy the ride, cheers!

Confidence is a wonderful drug.

The best coaches usually know what style a player responds too. Some need the kick in the pants, others need a praise or when to step aside and let the team handle it.

I get the treat all people the same, but people just arent the same.

Amazed there are no Habs teams from the 70's on that list.

If im not mistaken, last game Foligno grabbed the room in 2nd period. Monty was not happy and Bergy calmed him.A user on reddit posted that he does not like that the team has control over the coach and that the coach needs to be the firm hand. I think it relates back to your comment about learning what certain players need.
It seems that Monty is a player coach. Teach your students but theres alot of lessons to be taught from them as well.

As fans we get to reap these rewards watching what they have iced this year.

It is snowing here in Southern NH...BIG flakes.
Had every intention to watch the entire game but snoozed through the 1st period and woke up in time for Freddy's fight, which got me all fired up and allowed me to stay awake for the entire game and celebrate another win. Lots of coffee this morning though!

Bruins Notes: Trent Frederic Shows Fight During Breakout Season

“I think just his maturity, his trust in his game and getting more opportunities has allowed his confidence to grow,” Bruins coach Jim Montgomery told NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley on the network’s postgame coverage. “He’s just a real good hockey player for us now. I mean, he’s got nine goals and they’re all five-on-five goals. It’s not easy to do in this league in the first half of the year.”

Before Frederic lit the lamp twice in the final frame, he created fireworks by dropping the gloves with Kings forward Brendan Lemieux in the second period.

Frederic and Lemieux both traded fists and there’s certainly no love lost between the two as it’s the third fight between them since Frederic entered the NHL in the 2018-19 season.

“When he came up to me, I can’t ever say no to him,” Frederic said as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “Not a big fan of him. So, every chance I get, I try to do it.”
