Actually curious now who we had been putting there under Newsy.
Obviously if I had a Fedorov and didn't need him on the PK, I would put him there, because he is better than most everyone going in either direction. Short of that, it feels different seeing a speedy offensive player than say a speedy two-way with some chance of scoring (say, a Veleno).
Speaks to me of a more confident approach to the game by the coaching staff.

And as you said, then we fell apart. Loosing streaks are going to happen and it’s awfully hard to overcome them when you’re this far back in the standings.

I was gonna come on here and mention how much Motte sucks, but then he made that nice breakout pass and I guess I can't hate.

Zach Werenski should be a Red Wing so he can fulfill his proper destiny. I was so mad when resigned in Columbus a year away from FA I believe. He would of been a Wing the first minute he was available.

I think he is the luckiest man in the world right now. It's almost like a film.
We have to enjoy it while it lasts. He probably thought their 2nd goal was interference so it was a good chance they would call it off.

And 4th game in a row we win the special teams battle. Unbelievable.

I loved Burger since the SHL, and believed in this guy that he was going to be a really good player for us and still believe that he will be in that Nyquist-y, Tatar tier. It's really nice to see a coach give him the opportunity and him potting a few. Now, do AlJo next!

Because they put him in the box to serve the bench minor. I'm the biggest Burger homer on these boards, but the one and only reason he was out there, was for the exact situation that unfolded. Anything else, and he's sprinting across the ice to let someone else hop on.
