23rd on the man advantage.

I'm very pro Adam Fox as an all situations 1D, but can I say that on an ideal cup competing team that he's on the 2nd PP unit?
So, all the years where he has been the PP QB on one of the league's top units didn't happen? Or did he suddenly forget how to run a PP?

Who the hell do you think we're getting that's better?

Neither.

I think our PP was great because of a variety of top talent. It’s better with Fox than it would be with Miller or Trouba (or any defenseman we’ve had since Fox) back there, without any question.

But a real top PP QB can do more than pass with timing and accuracy. They can skate fluidly with good edge work to open up a lane. They can shoot on occasion and force the opponent to respect it.

I have Fox as a top 10 defenseman in the league, but there are many, many defensemen who I think would make the PP better over him. Anyone that we could get? Hard to say. Quinn Hughes isn’t available. But if NYR are setting out to truly rebuild much of the defense and we end up getting a left D who can be a better option on PP1, I wouldn’t hesitate to give him that shift.

We played McDonagh and Boyle over Yandle on PP1 back in the day, I don’t want to make the same error twice. A Yandle type would do what Fox does on the PP while opening up more time for Fox to play at even strength, which is the strongest part of his game.

I have to watch Napoli vs Fiorentina serie A soccer. Cant record that game since its on Paramount +. So instead I'll record the Rangers game and make a brats hero on garlic bread with bacony kraut and mustard then I'll watch it later. If they can beat the Caps then they've officially busted out of their funk. Good luck guys, I'll be back tomorrow.

I'm here for the 50-72-65 line. That's about it.
Berard fits a Rangers archetype; undersized guy who busts his ass and hustles and produces middle six numbers that the fanbase falls in love with. Johnstone, Callahan, Zuc, etc.

I'd say Graves and Harvey as well, whether the former was undersized is open to interpretation, and the later was more like an Avery and never really showed the offense.

Berard has skill. The play style is Zucc/Marchand esque. The Rangers just need to continue cultivating it. That line with Chytil and Cuylle looks good. Anyone with Chytil and Cuylle looks good

An assignment! Done.

Quinn Hughes, Cale Makar, Werenski, Dahlin, Karlsson, Morrissey, Hamilton, Reilly, McAvoy, Seider, Sergachev, Theodore. If we had any of those 12 guys lined up with Panarin and Kreider I'd expect pp1 to improve.

I put Fox in a middle-category with Carlson, Hedman, Seider, Bouchard, Montour,Gostisbehere.

Fox needs a dude who thinks shoot first or at least shoot 50% of the time with him on the PP point. He's become too predictable. He really needs to work on that aspect of his game this summer.

I'll grant you Makar and Hughes. The rest? I don't see it. I think you're letting recency bias cloud your judgement.

Fox is a top 3 pp QB in the entire league.1 down season for the team doesn't change that.

In a perfect fantasy world Berard becomes the MSL of the Rangers or at the very least like a diet Zuc.

Rangers homegrown forwards the last 30 years with the exception of Kreider or Stepan usually become 20G-20A guys with different coats of paint. We as fans are overdue for that to change.
