I got an idea to fix this offside challenge garbage:
Whenever the puck goes into the zone, the play is immediately whistled dead. The league reviews the zone entry and determines if it was offisde or not. If not offisde, then the attacking team gets to place the puck anywhere near the entry point but no more than 5 feet past the blue line. Everyone lines up in their positions in a line like old school revolutionary war tactics, and then the whistle is blown and play starts.

If the league determines it is offisde, then the non-Ranger team gets a 2 minutes power play.

lol the audacity to complain about an egregious cross check after the refs just took a goal away from the opposition for you

Laf should have jabbed at the goalie glove there. But that would require some balls.

I don’t want a single incorrect call no matter how long it takes. the final angle was conclusive
Well for me, I'd rather have less interruptions and more free flowing game. Especially when you consider the spirit of the offside rule in both hockey and soccer. What is the purpose of the rule? To prevent an offensive player just hang around in the offensive zone, waiting for a pass to attack the goal. The spirit of the rule is not to split hairs on if someone's skate lace or toes are one inch offside.

Especially when the review goes way back to a play that has no direct effect on the goal scored.

To reiterate what I said, if the referee can't take one look inside 5 seconds to determine if the play is offside, it's not. Give advantage to the attacker.

Every time Ferraro makes a correct analysis, like we have nothing in the middle, I'm eating a Ferrero Rocher
