I think that’s at least a really good stat as we look at style of play. It’s obviously effective. Finishing is another topic.

The Florida broadcast quality probably isn't a good as MSG, plus these board ads on the main camera have degraded the picture quality to pre HDTV level. I have the game on my laptop & the Jets on my TV & the hockey picture quality is embarrassing in comparison. You can see the difference immediately when the hockey games switches to a different camera...the picture becomes instantly sharper with the numbers & letters on their jerseys are easily read & their faces are in focus.

Well, the thing is, with that stat. Teams often let the Ranger control the puck in the o zone, because the Rangers do this thing where once they gain possession they all drift to the side. We are not great at generating shots inside the paint with all that possession. And as you can see, when we don't do anything with all that possession at some point there's a turnover/counterattack play where we give up a very high danger shot. Happened again in that first period.
Kravtsov has been really strong away from the puck and in his own zone. He made 3 great plays all on one shift in the first. Broke up a few plays, then made a hell of an outlet pass. Very impressed with his first period.
