3 Pages in before I even check the GDT?
I get the feeling the team is generating some excitement!

Huge game. St-Louis is 5 games over, we're 2 games over (that's the easiest way I know how to quantify the games in hand).
If we win in regulation - They are 4 games over and we would be 3 games over - and we still have to play once more at home.
If we win it OT/Shootout - They are 5 games over and we would be 3 games over - still have that final matchup.
If we lose in OT/Shootout - They are 6 games over and we are 2 games over. Gets tough here with all road games.
If we lose in regulation - They are 6 games over, we're 1 game over. Enough said.

We need the 2 points here, badly.

THat's the system I use, it levels the playing field... btw, if the Wings lose in regulation and we win in regulation we will be tied with them at 3 over .500 and in the 7/8 seed.

Big game tonight, perhaps the most important of many important games beacause it's head to head with with a playoff tweener...

A byproduct of the changeover of this team from the Hitchcock days is that there is less of a chance that Hitch is going to be able to use his 'Clockwork Orange'-style torture mind games to break the spirit of our troops. I swear he knew how to crush the spirit of players like Brassard before the puck was even dropped.

That SO win over the Hawks last night was quite impressive, they are probably still a little high on it... From my seat I can say the Blues are a good team and perhaps better than us on paper but the way the CBJ are playing no opposing fan should consider us an auto-win...

i didn't read a single post over there calling us a "sure win" many are saying they need to treat it like a playoff game and that several of our players scare them...I did see a post saying "now that the trolling is over" so maybe they deleted a few posts...

Should we expect Dubinsky between Calvert and Atkinson?

I believe it was tweeted by Rimer or Mitchell that Richards like the chemistry of his top 9 last night and did not expect any changes.

Prospal-Anisimov-Gaborik
Umberger-Johansen-Foligno
Calvert-Dubinsky-Atkinson
Comeau-Letestu-MacKenzie
Boll, Gillies

Still will be interesting to see which D-man is a game time decision. Aucoin? Nikitin? I don't think at this point inserting Erixon or even Goloubef into the lineup will affect the level of play.

Hoping for a great game tonight! Really hoping you guys knock DET out of the 8th spot. Wouldn't mind seeing this game go to OT, but us come out on top :D. Anyways best of luck to you guys and hope for no injuries!

I have rooted hard for the CBJ since the day they arrived. I have followed their ups and downs. I was indifferent at the start of this season. There is a passion stirring again. This season is a win. The playoffs would be exciting and I hope we get there. But I care again and how cool is that. For the first time in many years, I am jumping on board with a new avatar. Jan Hedja I will miss you. Bob bring it home tonight. The puck stops here!

GO JACKETS!

Beat the Blues!

I have a hard time thinking they can go into Nashville and St.Louis and win both games. Therefore I think they lose this one.

Totally agree. Bob is keeping us in every game.
I still see us on the outside looking in (with all the road games especially) but IF Bob stays on fire and if the team gets a W tonight, then I think we're right in the middle of this mess.

I wonder what a line of Joey/Cam/Matt could do.

We've seen them together for only a few shifts this year, so don't take this as an answer to what they would do if they were a line, but in their short time together the boards lit up with people clamoring to split them up. Perhaps part of the problem is that, despite Joey's strong defence this year playing with veterans, is it strong enough yet to center two other young players?
