Well.....we have come to the end of a crazy year for us Habs fans. From tanking out to end last season to scoring Demidov at the draft, to starting the season with a Laine injury, to finishing the year on a high note. It has been a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows.

Cheers to all of you on a healthy and happy 2025.

Who do you guys want to close out the year? Dobes or Monty. I like the high Dobes is riding, so I'd start him.

GHG!!!

It's a really tough matchup. Vegas is a toughsr test than the Florida teams and I think they lost 3 regulation games at home all year. They have won 10 of their last 11 overall.

As long as dobes is up in the nhl, I would like to start him somewhat regularly especially coming off a shutout, but I do worry about him getting shelled in a tough matchup.

I'll give the start to Monty....the veteran who has has shown an ability to bounce back. There is a back to back coming on January 3rd and 4th. I'd give dobes the game on the 3rd against Chicago. I just don't want to risk losing him mentally and have Monty going on an extreme run of games again.

Did anyone know that the Winter Classic was on NYE? I didn't know until yesterday...

Yeah I just saw that too. Seems like they don't even care about promoting those games anymore. And they just put them on random days.

I think they treat this more like a local event instead of a national one.

When was the last time The Habs won all 3 games of a 3 in 4? :naughty:

Our last outing against Vegas wasn't pretty but we aren't that team.
One of our best games last season was in Vegas even though we didn't win.

Since Dobes was going to get killed against Florida I think we should play him against Vegas.
Keep that edge with the Lads pulling for each other starting with our rookie goalie who seems to like challenges.

The tank is dead boys. The anti-tank rebellion has won this battle

I don't think they can pull this rabbit out of their asses. Vegas is a tough team and Habs are ... not very tough. Or skilled. So, hopefully a good honest effort and no injuries to close out 2024. What a shitty year (not hockey related) that was. Bleah. My hopes for 2025 aren't a lot higher.

If the Habs beat Vegas, I expect you to have a bad feeling about the Tank and join the anti-tank rebellion. Front lines.
