Ummm... I dont think so. Theyd be 17-20. However, if they had also held all 5 third period leads over the last 7 games and won the OT/SO wins, then it would be 22-15. Its close...

BTW, I see this draft as having a clear top 4, right? Martone, Hagens, Misa, and Schaefer.

Would you guys be happy with walking away from any of those? We have a full 5 point equivalent lead on DET for 5th, so top 4 is looking solid right now.

Personally, while I would love another A+ defensive prospect, I am a little partial to another top end young forward. The forwards tend to be NHL ready a little faster, and I feel the sharks are in a position to be legitimately competitive for a PO spot (or higher) next year.

yeah, he prides his two way game. He knows he blew OT vs. edmonton. Its good that he is owning his errors and upset about his defensive lapses. Would love to see Smith have that kind of two way mentality and killer instinct and work ethic. Mack looks like a future HOFer to me...
We had 27 points on dec 20th, with 9 overtime losses, so an extra 9 points would be 36 points. Flames at that point had 37.

Sharks at december 20th 34 games (32 last year). 11 wins (9 last year), 18 losses (20 last year), 9 ot losses (3 last year), 27 points (21 last year).

On pace for 66 points (last year 53). If we keep the same pace, and the point totals are roughly the same for the rest of the league, we are then pacing for 4th last.

Celebrini really likes to pull up inside the blue line and make a centering pass.

The problem is that none of his linemates seem to be onto it. It’s either the system not being implemented, Celebrini is a slow learner, or the rest of the team are ridiculously dumb and not picking up on it.
Considering he is the only one that does it, just means it is a him reading the defensive alignment and making his best judgement. But nobody can read the play like he can on the team.

I'll chalk it up to Celebrini being a slow learner. Michkov would have picked up on our system after viewing film for 2 minutes.

Which is fine, but he does it so often that his linemates have to know it’s coming - not a matter of reading the defence.

It goes along with an issue I have with the Sharks forwards on zone entries - it’s way too frequent that they’re entering as a straight line with no real depth. It’s part of the reason their passes are getting picked off/disrupted too easily.

Sharks are starting to take injuries and other teams are taking them seriously. It seems being physical against the smaller and younger Sharks is the way for other teams to go. I wonder if there will be a response by GMMG.
