This is how Sullivan had him playing in 2016. Agreed he is absolutely at his best when he keeps it simple. He is such an athlete, there is no reason for him to over complicate his game. When he isn’t making stupid plays resulting in turnovers, he’s one of the best D-men in the game. Problem is when he does turn the puck over, it’s usually for a high scoring chance against.He's really been elite in all facets of the game since then. He's producing points, logging tons of minutes, and just generally being dominant out there.
Feels like he's just simplified it for the most part and is playing a smart, simple game. When does that his overwhelming talent level takes over and turns him into a monster of a player.
