Avs fans were entertained...all about perspective. :D

They've gotten more than their fair share of entertainment against the Yotes recently, I'd say haha.

And I feel like some of their fans like to come on these Yote's boards more than other teams have (recently at least) and drop comments, too.

Per Moneypuck.com, Sharks with the 25th hardest SOS the balance of the season projected to finish 4th in the Pacific followed by LA, STL (hardest SOS), Coyotes (23rd) then Anaheim. If the Coyotes want to make the playoffs they need to rack up points the next 4 games.

I like the Coyotes chances. They are coming in rested since most of the team just stood around and watched the Avs score Wednesday. I am hopeful Bunting and Pederson get some ice time. It would be nice to see how they fit long term.

I haven't watch a Yotes game in about a month but seeing Bunting and Pederson play finally gives me a reason.

I mean...

We have to like our chances we're playing the Ducks. The DUCKS. The Ducks are not a good team right now / this year or however you want to count it. There is not a single informed fan who would say the Ducks are a good team this year.

To be clear I also am a Coyotes superfan but have barely watched games this year (but have followed / lurked through slightly over half the GDTs, thanks everyone for posting) -- but standings wise we're a playoff bubble team, the Ducks are not, and looking at their roster they're not even close. So we should win by at least 1-2 goals tonight. Because we are a playoff bubble team and the ducks... well, on paper they are not a good team. FWIW I feel really bad for ppl like Gibson, Ryan Getzlaf, Rakell, Cam Fowler -- imo they all deserve better they are quality players.

So... reading the threads would we rather we collapse this year so Tocchet is fired or would we rather play just over 0.500 hockey and make the playoffs... and hope Vegas overtakes COL so we can have a 6 or 7 game series before MAF has a shutout in game 6 or 7? Because depending how you count last year we may or may not have made the playoffs in quite some time.

I honestly don't know it's open question. Asking what you all think and am very curious, we're all superfans here. From this side I haven't seen enough games in real-time this year to have an informed opinion. Very much appreciate the input if you all want to take this open question

They are only in the running for the 4th spot because St Louis has had the injury bug. Playoff Vegas would absolutely body this roster, same as the Avalanche. They simply cannot handle physical teams with swagger.

Tocchet should have been summarily dismissed with Housley last summer, but due to COVID uncertainty and a new GM wanting to 'assess', he wasn't. Now his team has once again lost more games than they've won. Without a couple lame comebacks versus the Ducks, he might not even have the job right now.

This roster is approaching middle age, so they aren't going to be trash tier ala Buffalo. But they aren't good enough to get over the hump either, which means you're basically dead in the water in the salary cap era.

I don't really envy BA's job right now given pretty much everything except Garland has gone tits up. But this summer will force change upon the organization. Standing pat won't be an option again.
