Seems like goaltenders have been playing well against us lately. It'd be nice if one of them had an off night for a change.

For some reason we have a hard time against teams that played the night before. Nice to see Bernier get the start too (hopefully).

It's the right call imo. He has been pretty terrible.

He has been. I think Ellerby has been worse though. Wish we'd keep a puck mover with RR. Ellerby and A-Mart with both be liabilities in the playoffs playing the way they are right now. Need A-Mart to snap out of it or Greene to come back ready to go.

Considering we have Doughty, Slava, and Muzzin all still in, not going to be hard to get RR with someone who can move the puck.

Well the Wild look to be playing Niklas Backstrom in back-to-backs ... so hopefully ... nah what am I thinking, we won't even score a goal, he'll get a shut out ... Backstrom for Vezina !

... there I hope that reverse jinx works :boredom:

True. Ellerby just seems to have the hardest time getting the puck out of the zone lately. I think as a pairing A-Mart and RR would do a better job of breaking out successfully.

I tried that with LaBarbera, and we know how that went. :shakehead

The 3 psycho faces on the Kings bench are Clifford, Regehr and King.

Kinda interesting and surprising that Bernier is starting. Have to wonder, if Bernier wins tonight, does he get the next start as well???

I don't consider it surprising. Even though Sutter likes to role with his #1G, Bernier has (by far) outplayed Quick this season.

Based on quick's last meltown against the wild, i think minnesota can smell fear when they go up against quick if he were in net. I love this move going with Bernier, possibly getting the ducks again on sunday... maybe play quick against the Oilers to get some of that confidence back... even though EDM is hot too.

Let's face it, Bernier's earned it.... can tell this is a tough spot for sutter because he preaches a couple of things:
1. play well and you'll be in the line-up
2. stand by yr #1 goalie.

The situation we're in really tests both of those mantras.

I could see Muzzin eventually coming back down to earth a bit, and Reg move up the line up once he gets his feet wet.
I would like to see scuds with doughty, and voynov with Regehr.

JB will get the next game anyway barring a complete mental breakdown. That's an Edmonton game before a trip down the freeway the next day.
