The Winnipeg Jets take on the Vancouver Canucks in a battle at the Canada Life Centre tonight. The Jets are coming off of their third loss in a row, a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of the Minnesota Wild. This drops Winnipeg's record to 21-13-1 and 4-6 in their last ten games. On the other hand, the Canucks have won three in a row and are now 16-15-3 on the season and 7-3 in their last ten games. Can the Jets turn things around? Can tonight's anthem singer actually sound better than nails on a chalk board? Or will they channel their inner Gordie Johnson? Let's hope not...

In Winnipeg, a little bit of snow in winter brings out the best in our citizens...

But in Vancouver, a little bit of snow can be a bit of an issue...

I'm not saying it doesn't happen here too. I know it's not funny, as you can't compare a city that is ready for winter to one that really never gets snow. But we can still laugh at them, can't we? :sarcasm:

“Snow” way we should lose to the Canuckleheads, it was “mitten” on the car... Go Jets Go! :hockey:

If we had our way :sarcasm:
Gordie would never do the anthems again
If we had our way, we’d get off this Schneid
If we had our way …..GJG

Is this a pauvre petite Canuck I see before me,
Part of a sad, cheerless, and riot-prone band?
Come, let thine overtly weaken’d Jets hammer thee.
Thy nucks have a cussmaster coach, and skate as though still.
Art thou nucks not, fatal vision, sensible
But thine defence is as shyte?
And art thou glory but a legend in your own mind, a false creation,
Proceeding from the Bruce - oppressed brain?
O Pettersson, they will miss but still sense, in form as palpable
As Hoglanders wallow upon the mud.
Shall Myers gallop ungainly askance and set off a full domino Nuck-slide?
And Martin – rocking thy sub-.900
Verily a self-puffed instrument to abuse?
Aye, mine eye test fortell a massive board-bound slaying,
And confirm thou speculation of Dubois mean streaks,
Or else worth all the rest; I see thee still,
And on KFC’s stick blades, dudgeon gouts of goals,
Which was not so before.

It is the bloody business which informs
Thus to mine eyes.

Jets projected lines & D pairs:

Connor-Dubois-Gagner
Lowry-Scheifele-Kuhlman
Barron-Stenlund-Jonsson-Fjallby
Eyssimont-Gustafsson-Harkins

Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Pionk
Dillon-Heinola

Hellebuyck
Rittich

Don't mind the line changes. Honestly Lowry is the 4th best forward on this roster so hopefully he and Scheifele can do some damage together.

I think this is an important game for Heinola to stay in the lineup, so hopefully he is motivated.

Congrats to Sam Gagner on playing his 1000th game tonight. Well deserved honour, and glad it is as a Jet.
