The trying to be a more complete player is getting to his head.
It reminds me exactly of what Anderson was going through after they changed his game.
I wonder when he's going to come out of it.

Call me crazy, I don't even know why I'm not even sweating it, as it's been a rough season for him. But for some reason I ain't concerned. I think he'll be fine.

No TSN panel working the Habs intermissions tonight or what or did I miss the Habs int talk while switching to the B's/Wings game

I recall some posters seriously believing that he will score 50 this year.

I thought those expectations were kind of ridiculous to be honest, but he's also fallen below my expectations too.

But you're not crazy, things will get better for him.

If he scores 20 I will be impressed

I don't think he will be a sub 20 goalscorer for his career, but it is kind of discouraging when he also couldn't score whatsoever for a large chunk of the season during the Ducharme era too. That was excused because of the coach, and he was awesome when MSL came along up until his injury, but you gotta do it for the whole season, not half of the previous one to the half of the next one. The narrative shifted from "who cares if he's not passing/playing defense that well, he's one of the best goalscorers in the league" to "we want him to be well rounded instead of a pure sniper" which is just nonsense.

I hear ya, I get the concerns, I just think he'll turn it around. Call it blindfaith or whatever, it's just what he's done his entire hockey career at every level. Score goals.

We've all seen with our own eyes what he's capable of.

I remember a December game several years ago when the Habs were out shooting Tampa 17-0 and still lost

It feels like a cursed place sometimes. I remember a game where the Habs lost 7-6 or something where they controlled alot of it, but niemi shit the bed.

Just alot of weird bad stuff happens here. Some playoff last second goals still haunt me.
