That’ll easily sort itself out in Monty’s favor since we know that Allen is incapable of a heavy workload and needs to be carefully managed to avoid him hitting the IR.

Allen is only a no. 1 by appointment but not in the traditional sense of earning a significant majority of starts.
MSL states over and over that Allen is his #1.
I have never been a fan of Jake Allen

Funny how you have Kent as Superman when he looks exactly like Lex Luthor. 🤣
Kent is Superman with an expiry date.

If he trades Owen Beck or if he gets fleeced in multiple trades, I’ll turn him into Lex Luthor. Or perhaps, he could even become a Donkey GM in the Powerdonkey Universe. :sarcasm:

We better not see the 5 forward PP tonight.............FFS.
Use Guhlie on the #1 PP and use those guys for the whole 2 minutes if necessary. Every team in the league does this FFS.
The PP drives me nuts................hopefully tonight we see Guhlie, and Barron show their stuff.
BTW, Guhlie scored a goal last night with a slapper from the blueline.....just throwing it out there.

This group is playing uninspired hockey right now, what happened to the fast entertaining hockey that we saw earlier this season? We all know what the ultimate goal is but the least they can do is not bore us to death on the way there.
Money Hands Monahan went down that's what happened.

If Allen had the stamina and resilience to be a no. 1, some team would have traded for him by now.

Unless, that no. 1 moniker is just another status-enhancing, window dressing artifice concocted by HuGo, like Armia magically slotted on the first line.

Both our guys, can handle a few games, but no one can carry the load..................another long season no matter how we look at it............
If we can get TWO picks inside the Top 10 that would be awesome.
If Monahan’s absence has shown anything, it’s that we need to add that franchise-type center on the 2nd line (regardless if Dach or Beck ever make a case for it).

Plus, you never have enough quality Cs and Ds and this is an amazing draft year for Cs.

Sorry boys~

3-2 OTL

The PP units waste half of each opportunity attempting to set up. I don't know for the life of me what the benefit of the drop pass is. It does nothing but waste time, it leaves every other player standing still waiting to cross the blue line, it drives me mad just watching it. Also, all of our guys are stationary on the pp, there is virtually no movement, nothing. Xhekaj, our best defender at getting pucks through gets little to no time with the man advantage, same for Guhle and now Barron. I am not the most intelligent poster here by any means but I am willing to bet that I could run that pp better than Burrows.
The US NTDP has done this for several years now, too. It drives me nuts for all the reasons you mentioned. I would like to know which genius initially came up with this tactic.

Why isn't Guhle always on the first PP? I'm ready to snap

There must be a script somewhere saying Montreal will lose most of the first half of the season, the question is why? so that the second half will be spectacular? I don't get the plot of this bad movie
Actually, it went pretty well during the first half, all things considered.

Second half will be much worse (or better, depending where you fit yourself on the Tankathon Chart).

The timing is pretty spectacular – Monahan gets hurt, our team's wheels come off.

But it's not just one guy. I also think our young players are going through a mid-season lull. It's hard to stay motivated without veteran leaders and when you know you're not making the playoffs.
