Your Winnipeg Jets were in the spirit of giving on Saturday, sending the Wild back to Minnesota with another loss to unwrap.

That same evening, the Blue and White Shites were also in a charitable mood, letting the Islanders open some early gifts in a 6-3 loss.

After being treated to such a lovely win, most Jets fans would prefer going into the Christmas break on a high. Despite being a bunch of goofs, Toronto has had Winnipeg by the wings of late, creating a slight unease in the frosty air.

What a Christmas story it would be, if the Jets could make this losing streak die hard and get their fans rocking around the Christmas tree. Will it be a wonderful life tomorrow afternoon, or will the Laffs be the Grinch that stole Christmas? Here's hoping your Jets have a Christmas vacation to remember and leave the Spuds home alone.

Gonna keep it short and sweet this time. The season isn't about gifts, but another shout out to my old man. My favorite Christmas present of all time was the Nintendo 64 he bought for my brother and I, back in the 90's. It came with the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Diddy Kong Racing. What a time to be a kid.

Also, super fond memories of going to the Assiniboine Valley Railway with my family when I was younger. A hidden Winnipeg gem. Times you take for granted. Was saddened by the passing of the owner and operator, Bill Taylor, over a decade ago now. Not sure if anyone has taken on the conductors hat since. Would have loved to take my wife and daughter there.

(We'll end with a video you may have to let buffer due to the size)

I wish you all a healthy, happy and safe holiday season, however and whoever you're celebrating it with.

Much love and Go Jets Go.

Thanks again @Ponds for the GDT and for your fond Christmas memories. Unfortunately, over the years, the holiday season has lost it's lustre for me. Back in the 1990s, my Grandfather passed away on Christmas Eve and my mother took it very hard being an only child, so we stopped celebrating. Then in 2005, my father passed away on Christmas Day, and that sealed it. After that, my brother and I took my mother to Las Vegas during this time of year as it was my father's favourite place in the whole wide world...

My parents did relay a funny Christmas story though, I wasn't even born yet, and my father brought home a stray cat and named it Puss. My sister was quite mean to the cat and it would hide in my brother's room whenever she got home from school, because the cat knew she could not go in there. Anyway, my sister was particularly mean one Christmas and the cat got it's revenge, it peed over all of my sister's Christmas gifts! Very smart cat...

Wishing you all a merry and joyous Christmas season filled with love and happiness...:santa:

Go Jets Go! :hockey:

The schedule makers are absolute idiots. I genuinely don’t understand why there would be a hockey game during work hours on a non-holiday, it’s not like they had to schedule around anything else. I’ll be watching from my desk, but if this were in Winnipeg, the arena would still be full of unemployed Leaf fans. Boo NHL and GJG.

Yes! Zelda OOT was a magical game. An absolute masterpiece in its day!

I was thinking that maybe there was some mandatory minimum of days or hours that teams need to have off for the break but there are teams that play later than us tonight who play on Friday

Very weird
