Newton, MA.

Now *that's* more like it!

Responsible defensive play and an offensive spark from all three on the new Top Line.

11 shots overall allowed.

No shots on goal during the 5 minute major
penalty kill.

Quite the Christmas present,

🌲🎁❤️👈

No info, just opinion, but I agree Monty wanted out. My guess is a non-official deal was made for him to coach STL as soon as he was done in Boston, and he made that happen.

If D is playing well, and Hampus returns, get him up to speed and trade for good offensive top two line forward. Maybe I've been expecting too much, but Hampus has always been a bit of a disappointment to me.
I agree I actually like Osterle better

Didn't like Lindholm chirping Caps bench after the goal, but the cross check and chirping suggest something lit a fire under him. A mean Lindholm makes me smile come playoff time!
I forgot about that. What a difference a few weeks make. He was hard to find if you weren't looking for him defensively, now he's scoring highlight reel goals, getting in scrums and chirping the bench.

Man, I hope this is the guy we get for the rest of the season.

It was where great coaching mets smart hockey

It was 180 degrees from dumb unstructured hockey of October early November

The only downer was Sweeney 2 big signings were outstanding and all the complainers upset
DKH you are a very entertaining poster.
I still do hesitate believing you hockey is your third sport... if the case, you might not sleep alot ;).

DKH, fans memory is short and fan are emotional which reduce their memories more.
In hockey, everything can change fast, and right now, Bruins are getting some success against good teams.(hope those who say they only win against bottom seeder get a shower).

EL was not producing, and IMO he was not playing like a top centre. If he does continue, Boston will rise in the standing.
CC always brought it at some point, nothing more. He will bring it.
As per Marchand and Pastrnak... well past tells us they will be fine.
Sway can not be a pumpkin now. Needs to adapt on the fact he is the guy NOW and on which Boston will rely.
And finally, Monty out and Sacco in. Best season move IMO.
We will see how it goes from now, but Boston will make the PO and IMO are really Moree built for PO hockey than last year.

So to terminate, DKH I wish you the best for Christmas, and 2025. Have a nice one of the most entertaining poster down here. A pleasure to read you even if I don't always understand all your subtlety!!! :)

2 things I think that could help Bruins alot are (1) Stay out of that penalty box.People say they been doing that under Sacco which might be true (I don't have stats on it) but fact remains that Boston leads the entire NHL in penalty minutes by 21 over UTah .And (2) is getting there goals against under 3.00 which is where they are sitting (16th) .Devils #1 at 2.46.

A lot of those penalties have been matching, they have cut down on being shorthanded as much as they were under Montgomery. Two guys that get matching fighting, roughing, slashing, etc just help to set a tone that this team has, which has been missing for a long time. Kastelic has only put the Bruins shorthanded 4 times this year even though he is tied for the league lead in penalties.

Has there been even one too many men penalty under Sacco?

Seems like they were good for 1 a week under Monty.

Ok hello he did not return to the game does that sound like a minor injury to you? Upper body injury do you not recall him entering that same area this summer? Hello obviously he's going to be out long-term
You said precisely the same thing about Elias Lindholm and he played the next game. Thought that would have humbled you, but apparently not.

I think I like that Marchand - Lindholm - Coyle line enough that I don’t want to see them broken up for a long time. Usually I leave an “it’s early” disclaimer… But I feel declarative about it. They’re great together.

I feel so much better about this team with Lindholm playing like this.

Washington looked off much of the night, but the bigger story is that the Bruins at no point let them get away with it.

At some point, even though none of us are in that room, Sacco deserves significant credit. The “cuteness” that was becoming nauseating in the Brubs’ play style at the end of Montgomery’s tenure has been largely eliminated and replaced with straight-line, hard-working, smart hockey. It’s often not pretty but it’s a far more effective way for this team to win games.
I think the Bruins learned just how valuable hard work can be last night ..especially the way they worked their butts off on the major penalty

Merry Christmas Eve!!
