Imagine if Kane played his entire career on a team like the current Red Wings. Would we be talking about his greatness? Would it be as recognized? Almost certainly not.
I think that goes for any player, but a player like Kane would still be a Hall of Famer if you ask me, assuming he puts up similar points and wins some individual awards like he has.

Agreed if you tie or beat Jagr in points and your not in your 40’s when you do it that has to count for something.

That's my point though. I don't think one can assume that he points up similar points and wins those same individual awards, especially the Conn Smythe on a team that isn't even making the playoffs. Gotta wonder which other players around the league would have gotten Hall of Fame careers had they been on different teams with a different cast.

I guess if you sift through some borderline Hall of Fame players that played mostly on bad teams you could find a few.

that play on the rush just under the 15 minute mark of the third is why Kyrou's hockey IQ is suspect. awful decision there. he loves to throw it into three defenders to try to hit his man instead of take a golden opportunity. he has done that so many times

Love Kyrou but that was a terrible shift. Passed up a shot at the hash marks and then a brutal defensive turnover.

I'm not disagreeing per say, but I believe Kyrou wanted to find Holloway for the hattrick in a 3-0 game in the third period. He'll certainly get feedback on the play from his coaches, but these gestures do go a long way amongst teammates.

I know but it’s only 3-0 with 15 minutes to play. It’s far from over. Could’ve shot it low pad and looking for a rebound too if he really wanted Holloway to get a chance. Was just not a smart play.
